Meet Morgan & Nic

We're Morgan and Nic, the husband-and-wife team behind Sit & Stay Pet Sitting.

For us, pet sitting has never been "just a job." It's about building relationships with both pets and the people who love them. We know how important it is to leave your furry family members with someone you trust, and that's a responsibility we never take lightly.

From daily walks and overnight stays to wedding day adventures, we care for every pet as if they were our own.

Our Story

Our story started on the other side of the world. Morgan grew up in Olyphant, Pennsylvania, and later moved to New York City to study Musical Theatre. While living in the city, she began dog walking and pet sitting, quickly realizing how much joy she found in caring for animals and helping families feel at ease while they were away.

In 2020, Morgan traveled to Australia to go backpacking. Then COVID shut down international travel, and what was meant to be a temporary adventure turned into something much bigger. That is when she met Nic.

Nic grew up in a small country town in Australia with his mom, dad, brother, and two sisters, surrounded by animals from the very beginning. His family had dogs, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, birds, fish and more, so caring for animals was always part of his life. He went to school for carpentry and became a certified carpenter, but his love for animals has always been a huge part of who he is. His family still has two dogs back home in Australia, Charlie and Taco, and they also had Texas, who passed away a few years ago.

When Morgan and Nic returned to Pennsylvania together in May of 2021, they began pet sitting side by side. They got married that August, and the more time they spent caring for pets together, the more they realized this was something they truly loved doing as a team.

In June of 2022, Sit & Stay Pet Sitting officially began.

Our Philosophy

For us, this has never been “just pet sitting.”

We know how much trust it takes to allow someone into your home and ask them to care for a member of your family. That responsibility means everything to us. Our goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving their owners complete peace of mind.

At home, we have three tuxedo cats of our own: Sylvester, Linda, and Baby Billy Jr. We also recently lost Baby Billy Sr., a rescue cat we found living on the street. Although we only had him for a short time, losing him made our desire to help animals even stronger. His story reminded us that every animal deserves safety, love, and a chance to be cared for.

That same belief is what led us to create the Sit & Stay Pet Support Fund through the Scranton Area Community Foundation. Through the fund, we are able to help families facing emergency veterinary expenses and support pets who may otherwise go without the care they need. Helping people keep and care for the animals they love has become one of the most meaningful parts of our work.

That same belief is what led us to create the Sit & Stay Pet Support Fund through the Scranton Area Community Foundation. Through the fund, we are able to help families facing emergency veterinary expenses and support pets who may otherwise go without the care they need. Helping people keep and care for the animals they love has become one of the most meaningful parts of our work.

Our dream for the future is to one day have our own property with plenty of acreage, where we can create a dog retreat where pets can stay, play, explore, and feel completely at home. We also hope to be able to foster and help even more animals in need.
