Helping Pets Stay With The Families That Love Them
At Sit & Stay, caring for pets doesn't stop when the visit ends. Through our Pet Support Fund, we're able to give back to local pets and families facing unexpected challenges.
About The Fund
The Sit & Stay Pet Support Fund was created to help pets receive the care they deserve when their families need a little extra support. Because no one should have to choose between caring for their pet and paying life's unexpected expenses.
Why It Exists
We've seen firsthand how quickly life can change.
Unexpected veterinary bills, job loss, and financial hardship can make caring for a beloved pet incredibly difficult.
Our goal is to help bridge that gap and keep pets where they belong—with the people who love them.
How The Pet Support Fund Began
The Pet Support Fund was created from a simple belief: no pet owner should have to choose between caring for the pet they love and managing an unexpected financial hardship. We started the fund to provide a little extra support when families need it most, helping pets continue to receive the care, comfort, and resources they deserve.
Whether it’s assistance with essential supplies, unexpected veterinary needs, or temporary pet care, our goal is to help keep pets safe, happy, and with the people who love them.
Support Application
- Create a profile in our system.
- Click Apply to reach the Apply page which lists the available scholarship opportunities and details about each.
- Enter “Support” in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click Apply for a scholarship opportunity when you are ready to start a request.
- Fill out the application. The project name should be the applicant's FIRST and LAST name. Once submitted, the fund will receive notification that a new app has been submitted and send that to all our evaluators to review.
- Awarding will be based on majority evaluators approval and suggested amount. We'll then begin the process to award the applicant.
- We can pay the individual or, preferably, pay a vendor directly (like a vet office).
- We typically have a max of $1,500 per request, however exceptions can be made depending on the circumstances.

About a month ago, LATE on a friday evening - Witten started to show some symptoms that we unfortunately were all too familiar with, he had eaten something he shouldn't and we were dealing with another foreign object situation and off to Allentown emergency vet, which confirmed what we had already known - there they did what they could, but unfortunately we not able to get everything. Followed up with our regular vet on Monday, to schedule what would be surgery #3 .. To say we have been getting completely ROCKED financially when it came to our kids was an understatement. We knew what we had to do for Witten, but the stress of trying to figure out how was beyond overwhelming, we already were at $900 bucks for our Allentown visit & looking at an additional $1200 from our reg vet, who by the way was doing everything possible on their end to work with us.
It was thanks to our amazing sitters Sit & Stay Pet Sitting and the absolutely wonderful fund that they had created, that finally allowed us to feel like we can breathe. The second I communicated to them what was happening, they were INSTANTLY there for us We were so grateful to know we weren't going to have to face this stress alone. They explained, this is why we have our fund - Sent me over the information to apply, and helped throughout the entire process. I had no idea what to expect, I knew about the fund, I've donated to it myself, I knew the purpose behind it and I loved it, but never did I think I would be the one needing it, but we did.Well, after only a couple days - we got the greatest news. We were approved. Not just approved for some assistance, but for EVERYTHING.
They reimbursed us for our emergency visit & covered everything with our regular vet. I will never be able to express the complete love & gratitude I have for them, this fund, and the entire pack community they have built. They did not need to start a fund like this, but they did it because that is who they are. Our community is SO damn lucky to have sit & stay in our lives. The love & care they have for every single pet they ever met is undeniable.
Times are tough all around, and being lucky enough to have this available to us was unreal.
